TV Installation Fort Worth

TV Installation Fort Worth

TV mounts vary with your installation.  The most common type of TV installation Fort Worth is the basic fixed mount.  This is recommended when the TV is mounted directly in front of the viewing area, and at the height for optimum viewing.  The second option is a Tilt TV mount.  These are great mounts for TVs mounted above fire places or TV’s mounted slightly higher than the optimum viewing level.

The Swivel/Tilt wall mount allows the TV to be tilted or swiveled to face the viewing area.  These mounts work well if a TV is mounted to the side of the optimum viewing area, or there are various viewing areas.  Ceiling Mounts are the least common, and can be placed in a corner or bedroom, or if the TV is to be viewed from different areas.  Generally, the more complicated the mount, the more expensive.  So we try to recommend the most economic mount for each situation.

Hiding Wires

Many customers want the wires hidden from sight when mounting a TV on the wall.  This is usually an easy option, but not always.  Generally, a new electrical outlet is installed behind the TV, and the electronic connection wires, such as coax cable wire and HDMI cables are fished down the wall, to another new box installed about a foot off the floor, and directly below the box behind the TV.  Many times we will also install a new electrical outlet directly behind the TV and tie into an existing outlet below the TV.

Electrical Plug Location

The best situation is for the TV to be mounted directly above an existing electrical outlet.  Usually, we will install a power outlet directly behind the TV, and tie into the outlet below.  It is against electrical code to run the power cord down the wall, but some bargain installers do it anyway.  However, in many instances, there is not a existing outlet below the TV.  In this case, I can install a new outlet for you directly below the TV, which is the preferred method.  But, there are other solutions, such as running the power cord along the baseboard or floor, or encasing the power cord in wire molding along the floor or baseboard.

Hiding the Cable Box

Don’t want to see the cable box or other electronic equipment?  There are some options.  The cable box can be mounted behind the TV with a vertical bracket made especially for such installations.  Another option is to place the cable box in a cabinet or closet, with other electronic components.  This is a little more complicated, but the cable box and other components are completely out of view, and the TV is connected to the Cable Box via an IFR detector and wire, which allows you to use your existing remote control.
